Rising Stars
Introducing our Rising Stars: Where Young Talent Shines Bright 🌟
Formed in 2016, our Rising Stars represent a diverse group of musicians who have graduated from our beginners band and are now exploring more intricate musical compositions. Ranging in age from 5 to 74, they bring a wide array of experiences to the ensemble. Skill levels vary from beginners with approximately 8 weeks of playing experience to those around Grade 3 standard.
Typically, members remain in this band for 2 to 3 years, benefiting from ample support provided by tutors and fellow young musicians who also participate in the Academy Band. Leading this group is Chris McMullin BSc (Hons), ATCL, the principal Euphonium player of our senior band.
