Brunel Brass Academy stands as the most elite development ensemble within our organisation, showcasing the exceptional talents of our musicians. Notably, their recent elevation to the National 3rd Section underscores their prowess, having secured a commendable 2nd place in both the 2023 4th Section National Final and the regional qualifiers, surpassing numerous adult bands in the process.

Entry into the academy typically follows graduation from our respected Shooting Stars band, contingent upon successful auditions that ensure the requisite skill level. Throughout the year, the academy band maintains a rigorous schedule of concerts and engagements, including an active presence during the festive season with a bustling Christmas carolling itinerary.

At the heart of our organization lies a steadfast commitment to nurturing musical talent. In pursuit of this goal, promising players may receive invitations to join Brunel Brass rehearsals, provided they demonstrate both the technical proficiency demanded by our repertoire and a keen understanding of the dedication required to excel within our ranks.

The senior band takes pride in its roots, with a significant majority of its current members having ascended through our youth system to become dedicated full-time members of Brunel Brass. Many of these talented individuals have seamlessly integrated their musical pursuits with successful careers, with examples including positions at prestigious companies such as Microsoft, Dialog-Semiconductor, British Rail, the Ministry of Defence, and the British Army, among others.
