Kieran Potter

Kieran's journey into the world of brass bands commenced in 2023 when he serendipitously stumbled upon his latent passion for banding while performing with the Southampton University Brass Band during his undergraduate studies. Hailing from Swindon, Kieran's musical endeavors began with trumpet and trombone lessons under the tutelage of Mike Lock, followed by further refinement from David Barnard, culminating in the attainment of a prestigious Distinction in his ATCL diploma.

Throughout his formative years, Kieran's musical talents flourished within various ensembles, including the SYM and RWBA school bands. He remains an active participant in the vibrant musical scene of Swindon, regularly gracing the stages of the Swindon Concert Band and the Swindon Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Kieran lends his expertise to musical theatre pit bands, enriching the amateur dramatics scene within the local community.

Embracing the opportunity to broaden his musical horizons, Kieran enthusiastically joined Brunel Brass, drawn by its warm and inclusive atmosphere. He eagerly anticipates the prospect of immersing himself in rehearsals, captivating audiences during concerts, and engaging in the spirited competition of brass band contests.
