A Busy Month for our conductor

In addition to his role as Musical Director, Daniel Hall showcased his talents as a professional composer and arranger with multiple premieres in the UK and overseas last month! His 25-minute composition, ‘HumAnIty,’ debuted in Stavanger, Norway by Stavanger Brass Band at the SIDDIS Brass Band Contest on Saturday, November 2nd, making history as the first piece of music for brass band co-written with A.I. This coincided with Brunel's performance of Daniel’s arrangements ‘I Can Cook Too,’ ‘Remember Me,’ and ‘In The Wee Early Hours of the Morning’ at the Wychavon Festival of Brass. A few weeks later, local band Aldbourne presented two original works, ‘Tangata Whenua’ and ‘The Final Voyage,’ alongside an arrangement, ‘Endeavour,’ as part of their 2023 Brass In Concert Performance. Finally, four of Daniel’s jazzy Christmas arrangements for Euphonium and Piano delighted audiences in Switzerland by DUO GIOVIVO, including ‘Deck The Halls,’ ‘O Tannenbaum,’ ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,’ and ‘Joy to the World’.
