In late 2019 Brunel Brass and Great Western Youth Band merged together to form one organisation and registered charity under the name Brunel Brass, with the Youth Band, Rising Stars and Percussion group all being branded as Brunel Brass Academy.
Whilst the main purpose of the name change was to bring the organisation together, it is important to know that the Academy retains the same ethos and values, continuing to ensure that the main focus is to introduce and encourage young players to learn a brass instrument and be part of the Banding community.
There are two bands within the Academy - Youth Band and Rising Stars. There is also a Percussion workshop which takes place each week before Rising Stars rehearsals.
The aim is to encourage more and more people to join and be part of the great community that has been built over the years.
