22nd July 2020 - they’ve smashed it! Well done Lesley and Siobhan for completing 242 miles in 44 days. Walking through Wiltshire, Gloucestershire & Somerset, they have covered the equivalent distance from the band hall to the hotel in Belgium where they should have been going today!!

On Monday 8th June, two of our band members set out on a sponsored walk to help raise much needed funds for the band. The band is missing out on normal fundraising activities at this time of year due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
The band had planned a trip to Belgium in July but since this has been postponed, Lesley & Siobhan (mother and daughter) decided they would walk the distance from the band hall to the hotel where they would have stayed in Belgium - some 240 miles - over a period of several weeks. They aim to complete the walk by 22nd July, the date the trip should have started.
As at 15th June, they have already walked 50 miles!
Update 23rd June - another 43 miles covered last week so the ladies are doing so well. They have sometimes been joined on their walks by family and other band members which is great motivation for them.
